No, not anymore. I now work from my private workshop in New York City and do not operate a physical storefront. However, I offer fast and free shipping across the U.S., plus easy returns—so you can shop with confidence.

2. Product Questions

Are your watches mass-produced?

Not at all. Each watch is hand-assembled and personally inspected by me. I do not work with factories every piece is crafted with care in my own workshop.

Are these mechanical or quartz watches?

I offer both mechanical (automatic) and quartz models. Each product page clearly states the movement type, so you can choose what suits you best. Whether you prefer the tradition of a self-winding watch or the precision of quartz, I’ve crafted both with care.

Do you offer sizing or strap adjustments?

Yes. Most models come with adjustable straps, and I include instructions for resizing. If you need extra help, just reach out.

3. Payment Questions

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Unfortunately, I do not accept PayPal at this time.

5. Contact Questions

How can I contact you?

You can email me directly at anton@vanbaerlewatches.com. I personally respond to every message within 24–48 hours.

Can I speak to someone in person?

I don’t use a call center. It's just me, Anton. I handle every order, message, and question with care. You’re always speaking directly with the watchmaker.

6. Apprenticeship Questions

Did you really take on an apprentice every year?

Yes. For many years, I invited one apprentice per year into my NYC workshop to learn traditional watchmaking hands-on, directly from me.

Are you still accepting new apprentices?

No. As I prepare for retirement, this chapter is coming to an end. The current apprentice, Sam, will be the final one to learn from me directly.

What did apprentices learn from you?

They learned the entire process: from movement assembly to case inspection, dial finishing, and final quality control, always by hand, never rushed.

Do your apprentices receive anything upon completion?

Yes. Each apprentice received a signed Certificate of Mastery and a handcrafted timepiece made under my supervision. Something they will carry with them forever.

Can I apply to be an apprentice in the future?

Unfortunately, no. This tradition is now closed. But the spirit of mentorship lives on in every watch I’ve made and every story shared.
